It is important you know that during Jamb registration process, you will be asked for your persona data.
This is very important in the registration process although, during registration process,
some candidate do find it difficult to get their finger print scanned and also have issues with their personal data.

Jamb has mentioned that any candidate with biometric issues at the point of registration would not be allowed
to write the UTME exam. It stated that the only solution to those with the problem of biometrics is
to go to Jamb National Head Quarter in Abuja to get registered. The candidate will also sit for the
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Abuja.

I want to implore you to make sure that you carefully submit your biometric data and make sure there is no error
in any of your personal data else you might have issue in the future when you get admission into the university and
you want to do your clearance.

Similarly, Jamb (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) stressed the fact that it would not entertain
any form of flight mode registration and offline exemption. It made this declaration because it has
empowered all the accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for real-time online registration and
directed prospective UTME candidate to register at only the center Jamb is partnering with.

For those of you who know how to take risk I will advise you to stay away from biometric abnormalities.
Jamb has mentioned that any candidate with biometric abnormalities or challenged can only be registered and
can only sit for their examination at the Jamb National Headquarters,
Abuja on the last day of the national examination calendar.

The reason why I said you should not risk having a biometric abnormalities is the fact that no candidate
would be allowed to even enter the examination hall or sit for the examination if his or her biometrics
cannot be verified as the system or computer would not permit or process any examination without biometric verification.

Price of Jamb (UTME) registration form

The fee for Jamb (UTME) registration 2024 covers fee for the reading text-book,
fees to CBT center service charge with or without mock, it covers fees of registration center service charge
and CBT (Examination) service charge with the UTME application fee inclusively which cost N3, 500.

This fees would be collected by the Board (Jamb) then the board would remit what is due to the CBT centers.
Jamb is doing this so that candidates would not be paying anything at the registration point.

What this means is that there will be two pin available in any outlets: the first one is N6, 700 UTME Application Document (with Mock)
while the second one is N5, 700 UTME Application Document (without Mock). Please do not allow any
Registration center inflate the price unless otherwise.

Candidate should be aware that they have the options of paying through Banks, Mobile Money Operators and online
payment on the Jamb portal through Remita/interswitch.

Any candidate who intends to purchase the e-pin must have obtained the National Identification Number (NIN)
as the gateway to the registration because the candidate would first create a profile by sending their NIN,
followed by a space, then the eleven-digit number (NIN) to 55019 or 66019.

Are you a prospective UTME (Jamb) candidate be aware that all transactions at the CBT centers would be cashless
to prevent warehousing and extortion of candidates. Some center have imbibed the habit of extorting candidate
hard earned money because they are ignorant and inadequately.

Candidate should also be aware that the cell phone number they used for sending the NIN to 55019
is automatically tied to the candidate’s name given by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
The number will also be used by jamb for proper communication related to the candidate’s application and examination.
I want to advice that you use your personal number for the registration and not any other persons number.

After candidate have sent a message to 55019, such candidate will receive on their phones a 10-digit profile code
and the registered name with NIMC, this would be presented at the point of procurement of e-pins when candidates
finishes the registration, the e-PIN will be sent as a text message to the candidates after the payment of all
necessary fees.

Candidates are to present the e-PIN at any JAMB-accredited CBT center for registration. What this means is
that you need to get your e-PIN before you can start the registration process with Jamb.

Recently, there have been large number of candidate who come out in their mass to register for jamb and sometimes,
the CBT centers is choked up and time consuming to register the large number of candidates. The Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (Jamb) has granted approval for two optional attached registration center.

What this means is that a CBT centers on request is allowed to have two additional attached registration centers
within the state although the CBT centers should clearly state their address and indicate specific details,
such as Street Name, Plot, House Number etc. for ease of identification.
The center should also have a clear signboard which should indicate the name of the center.

Jamb added this new development so as to eliminate the need to move SIMs or routers from the original designated centers.
Jamb also mention that the provision of attached registration centers is only available to center that
apply for extra attached registration centers. Any violation of the guidelines would lead to the revocation
of the license of that center.

that he or she is blind, to choose any center that is close to his or her residence.
Jamb has also created option of sitting for the examination for the physically challenge
candidate this option include Braille, Recorded or Read Aloud.

The list of available Examination Town for the physically challenged include Abuja, Bauchi, Edo state, Ado – Ekiti , Enugu, Kano, Kebbi, Lagos, Oyo, Jos, Yola.

Steps you should follow to register for Jamb (UTME)

Here are the steps you go through in order to successfully register for the 2023 UTME. The information here should
not be taken for granted.

- Ensure you have a National identification number (NIN): Every candidate should ensure that he or she has
done registration with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and obtained the
National Identity Number (NIN).
paragraphIt is noteworthy that all prospective Jamb candidate have a NIN number before attempting to register for the UTME (Jamb).paragraphYou should be aware that if you forgot your NIN, do not be scared as it can still be retrieved, now you can do this by dialing *346# from the cellphone number used to register.paragraphIf you are unsure of the place to do your NIN registration you can visit NIMC site to view the list of accredited centers for NIMC registration.
- Do your profile registration: If you have registered with NIMC and have gotten your NIN number
now you can proceed with the profile registration It is important you note that only one cell (mobile)
number can be used by one candidate only.
paragraphThe cell phone number is always tied to the candidate’s name and will be used in all communications related to his or her 2024 application, Examination/Admission. In summary make sure you keep the SIM-NUMBER. It is of utmost importance for subsequent communication.paragraphAfter successful NIN application candidate can now send the word NIN space then the eleven digits NIN to 55019 from his or her phone that is [e.g.: NIN (Space) 00123456789 to 55019]. When candidates have successfully done this, candidates will receive his or her profile code (of 10 characters) and the registered name with NIMC on his or her phone.paragraphNext, candidate presents the profile code to the point of procurement of form (Banks, MMOS, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). retrieve it, send (RESEND) to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number.
